Dr. Tomchak’s professional journey includes a notable period of service at the Fort Hall Reservation, where he practiced family medicine for about 4 1/2 years. During this time, he and his wife developed a deep connection with Idaho, a place they fell in love with. Although they briefly returned to Ohio to ensure their children could stay close to their families, the allure of Idaho has remained strong. Dr. Tomchak and his family frequently vacation in the region, maintaining cherished friendships in the valley.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Tomchak has actively contributed to public health initiatives. He has served on the county Board of Health and assumed the role of Medical Director for the county health department, showcasing his commitment to advancing community well-being.

Dr. Tomchak’s educational background is distinguished, with a residency in Family Medicine at Summa Health, Akron, Ohio. His medical journey began at Northeast Ohio Medical University, following an undergraduate degree from Kent State University.
