Lisa K. Carlson
Chief Operating Officer and Nursing Officer
Lisa started her healthcare career with a BS in Dietetics from San Francisco State University (California) and later her MS in Human Nutrition from University of New Haven (Connecticut). After working as a Clinical and Renal Dietician for eight years, she decided to return to school at George Mason University (Virginia) and earn her BS in Nursing. She worked for 13 years as a lead critical care/trauma nurse in California. She then began her first leadership role managing a Heart and Vascular Center and Emergency Department with Sutter Health. In 2013 Lisa moved to Lewiston, Idaho as the Director of Nursing. In 2015, Lisa took a CNO position in Gunnison, CO and then in 2019 became the COO/CNO in Salmon, ID. Her area of expertise and passion is Critical Access Hospitals.
Lisa has two daughters, one in college at University of Montana and one en- tering graduate school. Both girls are pursuing careers in nursing and health related fields. She loves all outdoor sports. In the winter, you can find her on the ski slopes and in the summer she spends her time mountain biking and horseback riding.
Lisa is an animal lover and has many of her own: horses, pot belly pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats.
Lisa has an open door policy and loves to be visited by patients and staff.
