Our Impact

In 2024 alone, the Foundation contributed nearly $1 million to support the hospital’s top priorities—funding essential medical equipment, facility upgrades, and care for over 49,000 patients. These investments have expanded TVHC’s services, including the addition of General Surgeon Dr. Luke Martin and our first in-person oncologist, Dr. William Nibley, significantly improving access to critical care in response to our community’s growing needs.

A History of Community-Driven Care

Founded in 1939 through a Works Progress Administration project, our hospital was built with support from livestock auctions, coal sales, and community generosity. The Cornerstone Campaign honors this legacy of grassroots commitment and builds on it for the future.
