Oncology

Teton Valley Health Care and Intermountain Healthcare have partnered to bring Intermountain’s top-notch oncology services to Teton Valley via our teleoncology program.

From early detection to treatments including genetic tracking, chemotherapy, and surgery as well as treatment planning and palliative care, Intermountain Healthcare oncologists can provide individualized support and medically-advanced care. These specialists are able to visit with Teton Valley Hospital patients in Driggs via telehealth technology, reducing the need to travel uncomfortable distances away from home. TVH also provides a nurse navigator for all cancer patients to help guide them and their families through treatment plans and quality of life goals. Infectious Disease

Intermountain Healthcare’s infectious disease specialists provide care for all types of infectious illnesses, both common and rare. A team-based approach is essential, involving the patient and their primary care physician to build an individualized treatment plan. Infectious disease specialists are needed when  a patient has an infection that is difficult to diagnosis, a high fever, is not responding to treatment, plans to travel to an area with a high risk for diseases, or for treatment for life-long illnesses

TeleBurn

People suffering from burns and cold injuries (such as frostbite) are able to receive immediate care from top specialists located within University of Utah Health’s Burn Center. Specialists are available around the clock to offer burn services including consultations and treatment recommendations reducing the expense and amount of time spent traveling for distant care.

TeleStroke – Blue Sky Neurology (BSN)

National Practice neurologists, specializing in interventional Neurology, are available on-demand 24/7 to meet with patients and emergency room providers to assist with the accurate diagnosis of strokes based on real-time visual exams via telehealth, assessment of medical imaging and lab results, and consulting with onsite medical personnel. BSN providers have the added benefit of seeing far more stroke patients than any Teton Valley Health (TVH) provider.  Fast, accurate stroke diagnosis can help save brain tissue.  Average TeleStroke neurologist response time is 5 minutes from activation. TVH sends most stroke patients to EIRMC, who also uses Blue Sky Neurology.

Mental Health Crisis

Get an immediate, real-time assessment by mental health experts from the Behavioral Health Center in Idaho Falls. TeleCrisis services are offered to patients experiencing mental illness emergencies that may or may not be complicated with substance abuse. Mental health care professionals from BHC work with our emergency room medical team via telehealth video-conferencing to help coordinate an appropriate treatment plan.

Behavioral Health Center is a 74-bed psychiatric facility operated by Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and is available every day and every night for people in psychiatric crisis.
