He studied at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah for his undergraduate degree in Psychology. He then attended the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California for his Doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine. His internship and residency were at Eastmoreland Hospital in Portland, Oregon. He continued family practice in Oregon for about 10 years before moving on to Cascade Medical Center in Cascade, Idaho, and then to Teton Valley Health.

Dr. Levanger is a general family practice physician and is happy to help patients of all ages. He loves being part of the healing process. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, he practices a patient-centered philosophy of care in every medical situation.  He emphasizes treating the whole person, taking into account a patient’s lifestyle and environment, as well as their physical and psychological health.

Dr. Levanger grew up in Boise. After working in Portland, he wanted to return to Idaho, but did not want to work in the metropolis that is now Boise, so he decided on Teton Valley. He enjoys living in the mountains with a small, close community. His outdoor interests include a wide array of hiking, biking, woodworking, skiing, sailing and spending time with his family.
