Matthew Czeip, MD
Dr. Cziep was drawn to rural health care because of the opportunity to care for a broad range of surgical conditions while becoming an integral part of the community he serves. He appreciates the close collaboration among physicians of different specialties and the strong sense of teamwork that comes with practicing in a rural setting. For him, this environment creates an opportunity to provide comprehensive, personalized care while working closely with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Dr. Cziep has been practicing surgery for five years, beginning his career in a rural hospital setting in East Tennessee near Knoxville. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by one year of residency in Columbia, Missouri, through the University of Missouri. He then completed a five-year General Surgery Residency in Grand Forks and Fargo, North Dakota, through the University of North Dakota.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Cziep enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters. He loves getting outdoors through hiking, camping, biking, and skiing, as well as traveling and exploring new places. He looks forward to bringing his experience and passion for rural medicine to the community and providing high-quality surgical care in a setting where patients can receive the care they need close to home.
