Jo Anne Kay, Ph.D. currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Teton Valley Health. She has been a member of the Board since 2020.

Dr. Kay was born in Great Falls, Montana, and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School. She went on to graduate with High Honors from Ricks College and from Brigham Young University magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a secondary teaching certification. She married Terry Kay, a native of Teton Valley, in 1970, and they have raised their four boys and made their home on the family farm ever since. Dr. Kay earned both a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.

Dr. Kay taught in the Teton School District for 16 years and at Brigham Young University-Idaho for an additional 16 years where she also served as Associate Dean of the College of Education before retiring in 2016.

Dr. Kay enjoys books, family history, gardening, farming, hummingbirds, and most of all grandchildren.
