Dr. Martin Hahn
Board Member
Dr. Michael Hahn brings a wealth of international medical experience, healthcare leadership, and a passion for community service to his role on the Board of Directors of Teton Valley Hospital. With a career spanning more than three decades across Europe and the United States, Dr. Hahn has dedicated his professional life to advancing patient care, medical innovation, and access to quality healthcare.
Originally from Einbeck, Germany, Dr. Hahn completed his medical education at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg. During his studies, he spent a year at the University of Massachusetts Medical School through a competitive scholarship program, an experience that helped shape his future career in the United States. He went on to complete extensive postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, earning board certifications in both specialties in the United States and Europe.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Hahn has served as a physician, educator, researcher, and healthcare executive. He practiced gastroenterology for more than fifteen years in Massachusetts, where he co-founded and helped grow North Shore GI into a leading specialty practice serving thousands of patients throughout the region. He also played a key role in introducing advanced endoscopic ultrasound services to community hospitals, expanding access to specialized diagnostic care outside of major academic medical centers.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hahn has contributed extensively to healthcare leadership, serving on professional boards, mentoring medical students, presenting at national and international conferences, and leading innovative healthcare initiatives. Most recently, he served as Chief Medical Officer for AllClear Healthcare, helping develop accessible diagnostic testing and
personalized healthcare solutions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hahn enjoys travel, photography, outdoor recreation, and environmental conservation. An avid skier, kayaker, and volleyball enthusiast, he values opportunities to stay active and explore the natural world.
He is also passionate about rainforest preservation, ancient cultures, reptiles and amphibians, and lifelong learning.
