Give Breast Cancer the Boot, July 25th: A Breast Cancer Awareness Rodeo
Together we stand, as strong as the Tetons, in the fight against Breast Cancer.
In the heart of rodeo country, strength is measured not just in 8-second rides or championship buckles—but in the courage of those who face life’s toughest battles head-on.
This summer, we’re proud to present in partnership with Teton Valley Rodeo, Give Breast Cancer the Boot, a Breast Cancer Awareness Rodeo—that combines community, compassion, and cowboy grit to support the fight against breast cancer.

Why This Rodeo Matters
Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the United States. Each year, over 300,000 individuals are diagnosed, and while survival rates are improving thanks to early detection and advanced treatments, the journey is far from over.
Behind those numbers are mothers, daughters, friends, sisters, and neighbors—people in our own community. Give Breast Cancer the Boot is a time to honor their strength, raise awareness, and offer tangible support to those in the saddle of this fight.

- Encourage Early Detection
- Remind friends and loved ones about the importance of mammograms and regular self-checks. Sometimes, a simple conversation can save a life.
On July 25th, we’re not just coming together to celebrate our western traditions—we’re coming together to save lives, inspire hope, and ride side by side for a cause that touches all of us.
Director of Medical Imaging at Teton Valley Health Care, Teresa Schwarzwalter, RT (M) had this to say about our Free Mammogram Program.
“As we all know screening mammograms are vital to early breast cancer detection and the potential reduction of mortality rate. Without the Free Mammogram Program, many of our community members would go without the help of a screening mammogram. Early detection can mean less extensive surgery and treatment. We want to catch a cancer before symptoms are noticeable, potentially leading to more effective treatment and higher survival rates.”
