Teton Valley Health Care Announces Permanent CEO, Troy Christensen
After many months of conducting a national search led by Korn Ferry, the Board of Directors of Teton Valley Health Care (TVHC) is proud to announce the hiring of Troy Christensen as the incoming, permanent Chief Executive Officer (CEO.) Korn Ferry is a global consulting firm that assists organizations in identifying and recruiting the right talent for their needs.
Mr. Christensen has been serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg for ten years. He has an extensive background in finance and leadership. Mr. Christensen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Boise campus, and a B.A. in Business Administration/Finance from Boise State University.
“I am humbled by this honor. The interview process was thorough, and it gave me a good opportunity to meet with each member of the Board, leaders from the Organization and members of the Medical Staff. I am so impressed by the obvious engagement and energy from each person at Teton Valley Health Care! Seeing that from all those I have met gives me excitement and energy for the role I will play,” Mr. Christensen said.
The Board of Teton Valley Health Care engaged Korn Ferry to conduct an objective, nationwide search for the CEO position back in the first quarter of 2023. After a lengthy and thorough process with Korn Ferry, the Board of TVHC is confident that Mr. Christensen has the experience and expertise to provide the right leadership for the Teton Valley Health Care well into the future. Mr. Christensen will be joining TVHC full-time on August 28th.
“The Board of Directors is indebted to Dr. Levanger for his leadership during this interim period. He, along with Lisa Loughran, Chief Nursing Officer, has moved forward in meeting the needs of our community and creating a hospital culture that promotes teamwork and trust. Nathan and Lisa will continue to play a vital role in the administration of TVHC.” JoAnne Kay, Chair of the Teton Valley Health Care Board of Directors.
Teton Valley Health Care has been under the leadership of the Interim CEO, Dr. Nathan Levanger, since the Fall of 2022. Under his leadership, TVHC has experienced a great deal of growth, making many achievements in quality and performance, and increasing staffing and services. Dr. Levanger and his administrative team will work with Mr. Christensen to ensure the path continues. “We will continue leading the hospital in the same direction and with the same determination. We look forward to having Troy join our team and will assist with a seamless transition,” Levanger said.
Troy currently lives in Rexburg with his wife Tara. They enjoy their family immensely: Sarah & Tanner and their son Noah; McKay & Rochelle; Ambree; Addison & Colin; and Joshua.
