Teton Valley Health Care Welcomes First In-Person Oncologist: Dr. William Nibley

Introducing Dr. William Nibley: Teton Valley Health Care Welcomes Its First In-Person Oncologist!

We are thrilled to announce that, for the first time ever, Teton Valley Health Care (TVHC) is bringing a dedicated oncologist to our community for in-person care! This exciting addition to our Infusion and Wound Care team is made possible by the hard work of Cassidy Howarth, our Director of Pharmacy and Infusion. Cassidy has been instrumental in making this happen, diligently working with Utah Cancer Specialists to identify what steps we needed to take to make this dream a reality. After extensive research and collaboration, we are proud to welcome Dr. William Nibley, a board-certified oncologist and hematologist, to our team.

Meet Dr. William Nibley

Dr. William Nibley brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Teton Valley Health Care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Nibley has served on the Clinical Faculty at the University of Utah/Huntsman Cancer Institute and is a past president of Utah Cancer Specialists and the Society of Utah Medical Oncologists. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, where he has contributed to the national Clinical Practice Committee.

Dr. Nibley is board-certified in medical oncology, specializing in both oncology and hematology, which means he is well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of our community members. His expertise spans a range of cancers and blood disorders, making him an invaluable resource for the residents of Teton Valley.

Elevating Cancer Care in Our Community

For the past few years, TVHC has provided access to oncology care through telehealth services. While this option has been a crucial bridge for our patients, we believe that nothing can truly replace the personal connection and comprehensive care that comes from seeing a provider face-to-face. At TVHC, our mission is to offer the same high-quality care you would receive at a larger facility, but right here, close to home.

With the addition of Dr. Nibley to our team, we are enhancing our ability to provide personalized, in-person oncology care. Patients will now have direct access to chemotherapy infusions and a dedicated oncology nurse navigator to guide them through their treatment journey. This hands-on approach fosters stronger relationships between patients, providers, and nursing staff, ultimately leading to better outcomes and a more supportive care experience.

What This Means for Our Patients

Having Dr. Nibley on-site means that residents of Teton Valley no longer need to travel long distances for top-tier oncology care. Our patients can now receive specialized, compassionate care in a familiar setting, with a team they know and trust. This new service allows us to offer a wider range of treatments and supports right here in our community, helping to alleviate the burden of travel and the stress that often accompanies it.

Dr. Nibley’s presence at TVHC is a significant step forward in our commitment to providing first-class, patient-centered care. Whether you or a loved one is dealing with a cancer diagnosis or a blood disorder, we want you to know that you don’t have to face this journey alone. We are here to support you, every step of the way.

A New Era of Care

We are incredibly excited about this new chapter for Teton Valley Health Care. Dr. Nibley’s arrival marks a new era in the level of care we can provide to our community. Our goal has always been to offer the highest quality medical services right here at home, and now, with in-person oncology care, we are one step closer to fulfilling that mission.

We invite our community members to join us in welcoming Dr. William Nibley to TVHC. If you or someone you know needs oncology or hematology care, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Infusion and Wound Care team to learn more about the services we offer and how we can support you.

Together, we are building a healthier Teton Valley, one step at a time.
