Marc Porot, MD
Marc J. Porot, MS, MD is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with a subspecialty in pain management.
He started with undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering at UCLA and then went on to medical school at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris. He then completed two internships, one in Pediatrics and one in Internal Medicine.
As a pain specialist, Dr. Porot works in concert with local doctors and other medical professionals to provide additional treatment possibilities, such as specialized medications and injections, to ease patients’ chronic pain.
Dr. Porot will be the first one to tell you that not all pain can be cured, but most types of chronic pain can be managed. His life’s work is to help patients transition from a life ruled by pain to a more normal, productive lifestyle. Dr. Porot has worked with Teton Valley Health longer than any other visiting specialist.
Some of his favorite hobbies are traveling, gardening and tennis. He lives in France with his wife, but travels internationally to provide his services. He calls himself “semi-retired,” as he still loves to work. Although he is lucky enough to call France home, he still loves coming to Teton Valley because it’s such a beautiful place and says TVH is a very friendly place to work.
