James R. Little, M.D.

James Little, Sr. is a Board-Certified Pediatrician who has been practicing in Teton Valley, Idaho and Wyoming for more than four decades.

Dr. Little is from Helena, Montana. He earned an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and then graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1969. He completed his pediatric training at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals Department of Pediatrics in Madison, where he served as chief resident his senior year.

Dr. Little started his own pediatrics practice in Jackson, Wyo. in 1972 and ran a solo practice for 10 years. He is also a staff member of St. John’s Hospital in Jackson, and a visiting specialist for Teton Valley Health at the Victor Clinic.

He continues to be amazed by pediatrics. “I never know what I am going to see when I go to work in the morning and am always fascinated by what I find,” he said. Caring for children from infancy to adulthood has provided him with a rewarding career over the past 50 years. He plans to continue practicing for as long as he is able.

He feels fortunate and blessed to have raised generations of his family in Jackson. Dr. Little is an avid and competitive skier, and enjoys hiking, traveling, biking and photography.
